Version 0.3

Download Xuheki-0.3.tar.gz

Release notes

  • Adds the ability to run without the “xuheki.pl” damon. It works a bit slower but it's preferable in situations where there are lots of users (xuheki.pl requires a lot of memory for each user).

You want to use imapproxy / perdition or a combination of both if you're running without the daemon.

  • Added the ability to run under a certain URL prefix. This way Xuheki doesn't take over the full domain and therefore you don't need to install it under a subdomain.
  • You can now add/remove IMAP servers from the UI.
  • Fixed bug: generate Message-ID header before sending the message; otherwise we endup with messages without this header in our “Sent” folder.
  • Fixed some install issues. I tested this on a fresh Ubuntu 8.10 and it worked fine; the only thing needed was to install g++ (Encode::Detect fails to build when the C++ compiler is missing).
  • The “text mode” editor now includes basic text filling support (yes, my Emacs brothers, it's on M-q). It knows about list items (need to separate them with a blank line), paragraphs, quoted text.

I tried to install Xuheki but Xuheki always dies with the error message: "Can't connect to data source 'HASH(0x9b2b668)' because I can't work out what driver to use (it doesn't seem to contain a 'dbi:driver:' prefix and the DBI_DRIVER env var is not set) at /opt/Xuheki/perl/XHK/Config.pm line 57\n".

It's to late today ...

The installer creates a config file in /var/lib/Xuheki/sites-enabled/ for the domain you specified. You need to make sure that this file is accessible to www-data (or whatever is the user running Apache and the xuhaki.pl daemon). The installer should take care of this though...

If it still doesn't work:

  1. let's discuss by email (please use the contact form).
  2. let me know what Linux distro are you using
  3. did the installer went well? No errors?
  4. paste the content of the file in /var/lib/Xuheki/sites-enabled

Cheers!
